On 12 December 2025, Medical Actions for Change (MAC), in collaboration with Medical Medical Students for Choice, hosted an afternoon of reflection on digital violence against women to mark the closing of the 16 Days of Activism Against GBV.
We saw firsthand how online harassment and misinformation affect women and girls, leaving many feeling unsafe, unheard, and vulnerable. This makes us feel deeply concerned but motivated because everyone deserves safety, dignity, and access to accurate information.
Our panelists and activists shared insights and practical strategies for preventing and responding to digital violence. Medical students and young professionals engaged actively, reflecting on how they can contribute to creating safer online spaces for women and girls.
We believe that acting together can make a real difference. By equipping young people with knowledge and empathy, we can challenge harmful norms, support survivors, and foster communities rooted in respect and care.
Thank you to all participants, panelists, and partners for joining us in this important dialogue.
